Hi everyone! Happy back to school week. As all of you send kids off to school I’m heading to the beach! The studio will be closed until august 31st. Have a great week.

All, Newborn

Newborn Portrait Session

When is the best time for your newborn portrait session? The very earliest day your feel comfortable coming to the studio. Every day older your baby gets, the more she realizes she can move, kick, stretch and cry. The first few days up to about 10 days is perfect because she will sink right into our cozy environment and sleep soundly while I pose her is those sweet sleeping positions that you love.

The newborn session is so special – it is the beginning of your little guy’s existence. He is brand new, pure and untouched by the world around him. I am creating art that freezes those first moments forever. Your baby changes so quickly right before your eyes, but you can always come back to these perfect little naked newborn images and remember how he began and what you felt in those first few days. I have more newborn images of Layne displayed in my house than anything. I just can’t replace them!

Friends and family are more generous than ever when a baby is on the way. You will receive more baby items than you have room in the nursery. Consider receiving another type of gift at your showers – a gift certificate from our studio. People are welcome to buy certificates for a monetary value, a specific product or a new beginnings baby plan. You can have a huge start toward your first order rather than a pile of take back items. Consider registering with us early. Call to find out details.

Kasey and I are very excited to meet your new baby and see you tear up as you watch the images for the first time. There’s some awesome about witnessing that kind of new love. Have a great week!

Exciting Family News

Last week my sister presented us with the following poem:

I do not have a face to see,
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I don’t yet have a name.
You can’t yet hold my tiny hands,’nor whisper in my ear.

It’s still too soon to sing a song, or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come March or April,
That’s when they say I’m due.
I promise I’ll be worth the wait, because of all the love we’ll share.

YAY! My I’m going to be an aunt in my family finally. We have lots of nieces and nephews on Brian’s side, but this will be my first in my family. They knew they wanted kids right away and didn’t waste anytime.

Congratulations Jenna and Seth!
