Flying Adventure | Conway, AR photographer

One little boy got an exciting adventure this week. Jace was able to see this plane up close, and the owner even let him get inside and showed him how things work. What a fun session with beautiful images!

Are you ever afraid your child won’t cooperate? Figure out their dream adventure and let’s make it happen. You will love the images that much more.

Easter Sunday Snapshots

Easter is this Sunday and there will be lots of snapshots fired, so here are some tips to get the best pictures from your camera and phone.

iPhone or the other guy – for indoor pictures always face your kiddos toward a window or door. If not possible toward any light source is better than light behind. Go ahead try it – take one with the light in the background and one with light behind camera and see the difference.

With any camera always zoom in or get close; every pic doesn’t need your whole room in the background. Remove clutter from the background too.

Get down on your child’s level; I always kneel or put them up on a table.

Lets go outside – outside in bright light is always better, so if you can step out go for it. Find a dark background in the shade. I have a row of red tip bushes I always take snapshots in front of – looks professionally lit most of the time. Getting in the shade does two things – one the kids are not squinting and two there is no splotchy or half light.

Follow these tips and you will have some pretty Easter snapshots. Have a wonderful holiday.

I had the pleasure of photographing 3 of the player, Jacie, Chase and Kristen and look forward to having Amber as a 2017 senior rep.

Studio Celebrates 10 years

We celebrated 10 years of business on Friday (March 4th) with a fashion show featuring Matilda Jane Clothing. The models for the fashion show included girls who had been photographed by Kimberly most of their lives. Among the models was Ella Fisher, age 10, the first newborn Kimberly ever photographed. Other models included Cora Ledbetter, Reese Tipton, Lilly Hill, Loralai McNabb, Adalyne Kitchens, Dylan Ramsey, Jewell Charton, Abby Charton, Maddix Johnson, Ava Caudell, Finlee Voss, and Carlie Garrett. These girls walked the runway wearing the 2016 Spring line Happy and Free provided by Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper Heather Ramsey. Makeup artists from Merle Norman were onsite to give the models a touch of fun, as well as hairstylists from Studio 114. Refreshments included springtime cupcakes from Piece-a-cake, punch, fruit, crackers, cheese and champagne. A lemonade stand was hosted by Layne McNabb, Layton McNabb, Levi Ledbetter and Zoey Davidson.

Our studio began business in St. Vincent in 2006 and moved to downtown Morriton in 2011. The boutique studio specializes in babies, children and high school seniors.

Matilda Jane Fashion Show

We are celebrating! This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Kimberly McNabb Photography, and we are kicking off the celebration year with a fashion show of the absolute cutest photo clothing for little girls.

There will be precious little girls showing off the newest spring line along with delicious cupcakes, pink punch, champaign and more yummy refreshments. Dance to the music, shop the clothing and lets celebrate you being a part of my 10 years in the most fun and rewarding job ever.

If you have never owned this clothing, you are missing out because not only is it adorable in pictures, but it is so comfortable and well made. Loralai can still wear all of her baby dresses as shirts, and they still look as good as day 1. Mixing and matching the line is so much fun. Happy and Free – spring 2016 – see it here –  adorable MJ video

March 4th 6 pm at the studio.

A Royal Celebration | Morrilton, AR

What 3rd birthday is complete without princesses, tea parties and lipstick? Loralai celebrated her 3rd birthday with her princess cousins at a royal tea party based on the classic Snow White film. The girls wore Disney dresses, bracelets and lipstick while they enjoyed apple cupcakes, m&m trinkets and delicious ring pops. Their wine of choice was apple juice or royal blue punch. The main cake was made by my future sister in law Rebecca, and I made the song bird cookies.

7th Birthday Party

My little Layne turned seven last week, and we celebrated with his first school friend party. He chose the theme How to Train Your Dragon, and we went the easy route. Kids had fun and Mom’s budget was still intact.

A birthday boy at seven is fairly easy to please. Give them blow up swords from Birthday Express, and they are happy. I am also a huge Dollar Tree fan. We scored How to Train Your Dragon coloring books, books and all the black tableware.  My very talented someday-sister-in-law, Rebecca, made Layne this amazing cake; isn’t it awesome? This year was no Pinterest party, but there was zero stress and happy kids. Love it, love him!
